Terms of Business

These Terms of Business explain how ForgeNorth ("we", "us", "our") provides web design, development, hosting, and content update services. By engaging us or using our services, you agree to these terms.

Quotes, deposits, and payment

  • Project quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
  • A deposit is required before work begins. The remaining balance is due on completion.
  • Invoices are payable within 7 days unless agreed in writing.

Project scope and changes

  • We will agree a scope of work in writing before starting.
  • Changes outside the agreed scope may be billed separately.
  • Delays caused by missing content or feedback may affect timelines.

Client responsibilities

  • You provide timely feedback, approvals, and required content.
  • You confirm that any supplied assets do not infringe third‑party rights.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of content you provide.

Ownership and intellectual property

We retain ownership of all code, designs, and assets we create until the initial project fees are paid in full. Once payment is complete, you receive full ownership of the final deliverables for that project. We may reuse general knowledge, code patterns, and non‑unique components across projects.

Hosting and maintenance

  • Hosting and support are provided on a monthly retainer.
  • We aim to keep sites online, secure, and updated, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • Third‑party outages or platform issues are outside our control.

Content updates

  • Retainer plans include a defined allowance for content updates.
  • Requests beyond the allowance may be quoted separately.
  • We aim to respond promptly during business hours: Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm.

Termination

  • Either party can end a retainer with 30 days' written notice.
  • If a project is cancelled, you will be invoiced for work completed to date.

Liability

We take care in delivering our services, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.
